Swapping/Replacing two or more drives for one larger drive

Option 1: (recommended)
1. Delete the RAID configuration
2. Copy the data from the spanned drives into the new larger drive
3. Recreate the RAID using the new larger drive instead of the smaller drives being replaced

Option 2:
1. Remove one of the span drives from the RAID
2. Run Update as instructed
3. Repeat 1 and 2 till there is only one drive left in the span
4. Hijack the last drive and assign it a drive letter
4. Copy the data off the last drive into the larger drive
5. Remove the added drive letter
6. Do a drive swap (no restore – just drive swap) replacing the last drive with the new larger drive

Option 3:
1. Remove one of the span drives from the RAID
2. Run Update as instructed
3. Repeat 1 and 2 till there is only one drive left in the span
4. Do a “swap and restore” replacing the last drive with the new larger drive
