How do I restore if I lose both my OS drive and a data drive and don’t have backups of my RAID config?

If you are in the unique case whereas you lost a drive and at the same time you lost your OS and don’t have a backup of your configuration database, all is not lost. However, you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Import your configuration, which is stored on the first PPU.

2. The drives will show up as missing. Fix each missing drive starting with the first PPU. Click on “Restore/Swap out”

3. Select the drive to reinstate from the selection box and choose to Swap only (the last option)

4. If one of the drives is a drive you need restore, make sure that all other drives have been reinstated, and click to Swap and Restore (the first option)

This guide doesn’t work. when I go to my parity drive and click on swap/restore, it said raid operation are under progress. I have asked everyone on forum as well as by email directly and still received no response.

My guess is that they have just put it here to haul in potential clients.

Please remember to disable all scheduled tasks. It could well be that scheduled tasks were running.
